Some people see a torn jacket and toss it.
We see stories worth saving.
At Thunder-Rode Motorcycle Accessories, we believe good leather deserves to ride again. Sun, wind, and hard miles can wear down even the best gear, but with the right hands, a stitch here, a patch there, and that favorite jacket, purse, or saddlebag is back where it belongs: on the road.
We’ve spent over 18 years repairing the leather that other shops give up on, right here in Kingman, AZ, just off historic Route 66.

If it’s leather, chances are we’ve fixed it. What walks through our door ranges from jackets that have crossed three states to heirloom saddlebags handed down from a father’s first bike. Every piece has history baked into the hide, and we treat it like it deserves to last another lifetime.
We repair and restore:
Motorcycle jackets, vests, and chaps – The gear that’s felt every wind gust on Route 66. Torn panels, worn seams, broken zippers, we bring them back to form and function without dulling their road-worn soul.
Leather pants and shirts – When your favorite riding set starts to stiffen or split, we restitch and condition it until it feels broken-in again, just the way it should.
Handbags, purses, and wallets – From everyday carry pieces to keepsakes, we tighten straps, replace snaps, and refresh color so they look refined, not replaced.
Motorcycle bags and saddlebags – The desert sun and road grit can chew them up; we resew the seams, re-dye the leather, and restore the shape so they’re ready for another thousand miles.
Belts, holsters, and knife sheaths – We reinforce stress points, replace hardware, and refinish the edges so they’re strong enough for daily carry and still worthy of display.
Spur straps, halters, and rifle slings – Western gear takes a beating; we mend, oil, and polish each strap until it’s supple, durable, and trail-ready again.
Specialty items and heirlooms – We’ve repaired everything from vintage bomber jackets to collectible guitar cases. If it matters to you, it matters to us.
No job too worn. No tear too tough. Around here, “beyond repair” usually just means no one else tried hard enough.
