Free Easter Sunday Breakfast Kingman

The Free Easter Sunday Breakfast benefiting the homeless veterans and citizens of Kingman hosted by Thunder-Rode Motorcycle Accessories was a huge success.  Staff and volunteers arrived at 6:00 a.m. Easter Sunday morning to begin setting up for the event which was held from 8:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. in the Thunder-Rode Event Center.  At 11:00 a.m., people were still coming in as we began to run short of food, having served in excess of 100 Kingman citizens, families, and veterans.  The event ran smoothly and everyone had a good time.

Thunder-Rode would like to thank the following people who made this event possible:

Southwest Party Rentals and Linda Owens of Kingman Party Rentals for donating tables and chairs without cost to the event.

Staff and Volunteers who arrived at 6:00 a.m. to begin setting up for the event.

Mark Cook for playing great music throughout the event from many different genres, keeping everyone entertained.

Karen Fasel-Cook, Thunder-Rode’s Shop Manager of four years, who organized and prepared every final detail of the event, making it the success it was.  Easter Sunday was also Karen’s birthday.  She selflessly spent her birthday volunteering at the event, so Thunder-Rode surprised her with a giant birthday cake in her honor.

Kenny the Griller for his amazing culinary skills.  Kenny cooked a delicious breakfast for everyone, even after we ran out of tortillas for the menu planned breakfast burritos.

Nora from Golden Valley for showering us with kindness by donating dozens of organic eggs from her private farm for the breakfast.

Mark Fredericks for bringing over a cooler full of his own organically produced sausages, ham, pork, and chorizo.  It was all delicious and his cooler was empty when everyone rolled out.

Yvonne Nunez and her friend for helping out during the event.

Ellen Mezzanotte who handed out event flyers to local businesses in downtown Kingman, and cooked and shredded a delicious pork roast.  Ellen and her husband Mike helped out throughout the event.

Popcorn in the front room on her stool letting us know when anyone came in for breakfast.

A special shout out to Miss Vicki, our Silent Angel, who helped set-up, kept the grounds clean, and was a huge overall help.

So many people came together for a good cause.  We are so grateful for the help and support of everyone involved to serve the homeless veterans, families, and citizens of Kingman, AZ.

Thank you, Kingman.
