Let's be honest.  Although we get together as a family for Memorial Day and take the time to celebrate the beginning of summer and each other as a family, it is not a time for celebration.  Many are missing their family members.  It's for this cause, that we remember them on this Memorial Day and every Memorial Day.  It's a day for remembering those who sacrificed for the freedom that you enjoy as you play games and laugh in the sun with your families.  The cost of freedom is high.

We at Thunder-Rode are forever grateful for the heroes who step forward to defend and protect our freedoms. Our hearts are with the families who have lost loved ones.  The memory, service, and lives of those who fought for our freedoms will be remembered forever.  

Memorial Day isn't about big sales.  It's not about cookouts.  It's about honoring the fallen.  Praying for the soldiers who have lost their comrades.  Some gave all...

This weekend, take the time to thank God for the brave men and women willing to stand for the rest of us, even unto death.
